About Zim Trippy

Tatenda Manjengwa, better known as Zim Trippy, is an artist and rapper driven by an insatiable curiosity to explore the depths of consciousness, creativity, and the human spirit. His work is a fusion of raw expression and spiritual inquiry, inspired by the transformative power of psychedelics, the wisdom of ancient traditions, and the chaos of modern life.

Growing up in Aylesbury, UK, Zim’s journey began at 13 when he discovered his voice through rap and poetry. By 18, a profound psychedelic experience shifted his perspective forever, setting him on a path to explore the intersections of art, music, and spirituality.

Zim’s work is a dissection of the self—peeling back layers to reveal the interconnectedness of life, death, and everything in between. Drawing from the teachings of Ram Dass, Timothy Leary, Kilindi Iyi, and the spiritual systems of Africa and Kemet, he creates art that challenges perception and invites audiences to be here now.

His music is a mirror to his soul—raw, unfiltered, and deeply personal. His art is a kaleidoscope of color and meaning, blending the chaos of the outer world with the stillness of the inner self. Through his work, Zim seeks to bridge the gap between the ancient and the modern, the spiritual and the mundane, the seen and the unseen.

Zim is the founder of Torus Grove, a creative network and production company dedicated to fostering artistic growth and raw expression. Through Torus Grove, he collaborates with like-minded creators to build a tribe of visionaries unafraid to explore the edges of consciousness and creativity.

Zim Trippy’s work has been shaped by the contrasts of his life: the traditions of his Zimbabwean roots, the melting pot of UK rap culture, and the transcendental experiences of psychedelics. He lives and creates in the space between worlds, using his art to question, connect, and inspire.
